The candyfloss has spread throughout the world and is traditionally associated with festive events, and in general to children. William Morrison and John C. Wharton, two barber shops in Nashville (Tennessee), are the inventors of candyfloss, they built the machine to produce it in 1897, but the product was presented to the general public only in 1904, the World Fair in Saint Louis (Missouri). He was presented with the name of fairy floss (wool fairy) and had a huge success.
In Italy, the candyfloss made the first appearance in 1906, in Udine, with the Circus of Buffalo Bill.
